Today in the digital age it is important to protect our eyes from the artificial blue light that is radiating from our devices. The harmful blue light penetrates deep into your macula and can cause eye strain, tired eyes, insomnia and macular degeneration.

As children are now growing up with these devices, we are encouraging protection as early as possible.

Here at McCartin Street Optometrists we offer blue light protection at no extra cost with all kids frame and lens packages.

An anti-reflective coating that blocks the blue light from penetrating the macular, is added within our package range. This coating protects the macula by bouncing the artificial blue light back off and providing excellent clarity.

But don’t worry if your child doesn’t need prescription glasses, we also offer Baxter Blue’s! Non-prescription glasses that also block out that blue light.
